In recent time times, advertising plays a crucial part in every company's marketing campaign. However, some people argue that it prevents individuals from being unique by making us adopt the same look and behavior. From my perspective, I am partly agree partly agree with the statement.
First of all, we cannot deny the intensive effect of mass media to on public behaviour, result resulting in the dense frequency of promotions and commercials. However, advertising are is indirectly forming beauty standards and convincing people to emulate each other. In addition, using celebrity endorsements to promote is also a common marketing campaign in most businesses. The more impact that a celebrity has, the more profit be gained is gained, resulting in the fact that many people are willing to purchase the same product, just to support their idols. Companies are also using persuasive promotional activities to encourage people to fit in and follow the ongoing trends.
On the other hand, commercials aren’t completely determine determining the way individuals choose what to purchase. The diverse range of products made makes customers tend to follow their personal preferences preference. In people's minds mind, advertising only play plays the role of presenting the goods showcase the benefits and showcasing the benefits. But sometimes, it is just not for the targeted customers, and the product doesn't meet their needs up with their needs and desires. For instance, skincare products for problematic skin are extremely popular among the young, especially teenagers. However, skin texture and financial budgets aren't the same for everyone, which means they will only pay for the products that seem suitable for their condition. The same thing happens with clothes, food, services, etc. With the wide range of brands and businesses, people can easily find their own unique style. Even if it still resembles resemble one another in some way, their there is no chance advertising made makes individuals emulate each other and exhibit a similar look like the given statement has mentioned.
In conclusion, promotional acts act do have an extreme effect on public behaviour. However, it cannot deter people from being different, as everyone has their unique character and personal preferences.
