Beautiful Wayne Husted designed Kingstown
Pitcher in Burnt Honey #6538. A unique honey color with the green tinge, which you can see especially well on the handle is very rare. This is also one of the last lines to come out of the Bischoff factory before it was bought by Indiana Glass, pinpointing its creation to 1963. It was released and sold via the Indian Handcraft line.
It features a unique honey color with a green tinge, especially noticeable on the handle, which is believed to be due to trace chromium contamination in a batch of glass.
The Kingstown line, including this pitcher, was one of the last lines produced by the Bischoff factory before it was acquired by Indiana Glass.
The "burnt honey" with the green tinted halo color was never reproduced, making these 1963 pieces particularly collectible.
